Responsibilities:
Generate New Business:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities by prospecting contractors, builders, property managers, and other potential customers within assigned territory.
Customer Visits:
Conduct in-person visits with new and existing customers to build relationships, understand project needs, and promote FFP products and services.
Project Evaluation:
Meet with customers on-site to review project specifications, take measurements, and gather information necessary for accurate quoting.
Prepare Quotes:
Prepare and present quotes based on customer requirements, ensuring accuracy and timely follow-up.
Account Management:
Maintain and grow existing customer accounts by providing excellent customer service, recommending additional products, and staying engaged throughout the sales cycle.
Sales Follow-Up:
Follow up on quotes, leads, and customer inquiries to close sales and maintain strong communication.
Collaboration:
Work closely with inside sales, production, and scheduling teams to ensure accurate order processing and timely delivery.
Territory Management:
Manage daily schedule, travel routes, and appointments efficiently to maximize productivity.
Market Awareness:
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify new sales opportunities.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, quotes, and sales activity.
Professional Representation:
Represent Florida Fence Products professionally while visiting job sites, offices, and networking events.
Qualifications:
- Previous outside sales experience preferred
- Experience in the fence, construction, or fabrication industry is a plus but not required
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented
- Ability to read basic project drawings and measurements preferred
- Basic computer skills for email, quoting, and CRM use
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Company vehicle will be provided
- Ability to travel locally for customer visits
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of aluminum fence, gates, and railing products
- Construction or contractor sales experience
- Estimating or takeoff experience
- Existing industry relationships
