Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CDL Class A Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting construction equipment safely and efficiently within designated routes. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to load and unload equipment. The successful applicant will have experience operating and loading heavy equipment on a gooseneck trailer and transporting with a RAM 5500 flatbed to various jobsites throughout Florida.
Responsibilities
- Operate RAM 5500 or F450 with 40 foot gooseneck trailer.
- Load and unload equipment as necessary, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Follow designated routes for timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, trailer, and load to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and reports as required by company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes or delays.
- Ensure that all cargo is secured properly before departure.
Experience
- Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in truck driving, loading and unloading heavy equipment particularly in local delivery settings.
- Experience operating various types of equipment, trailers, and trucks is highly desirable.
- Previous delivery driver experience is a plus, along with knowledge of procedures.
