This is a highly responsible and professional position that will serve as an Operations & Management Consultant Manager within the Office of Recovery. This position will collaborate with each section within the program office and be required to use independent judgement, take initiative in carrying out duties and responsibilities and should be extraordinarily detail oriented.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Lead and/or coordinate the delivery of policy guidance, training, technical support and other process improvement activities as assigned. Supervision includes providing guidance to staff, implementing a process to ensure deadlines are met, assigning work, reviewing work products, providing supervision and professional growth opportunities and assessing performance.
- Reviews programs, services, forms and reports and confers with management and others to identify problems and improvements.
- Provides technical assistance, clinical expertise and research knowledge for the integration of substance use disorder treatment and prevention with other areas.
- An ideal Perform data review and analysis, including tracking measurable objectives. Serves as resource person to other staff in headquarters and regional program offices.
- Responsible for conducting Epidemiological research, Legislative Research, assisting with grant writing, data analysis, and strategic planning.
- Represent the Department at various internal and external meetings with stakeholders at the federal, state and local level.
- Ensures the community health status are accurately monitored by reviewing the public health surveillance and detection-work conducted by the epidemiologists working on opioid response. Responsible for daily and weekly syndromic surveillance (securely) using multiple systems and applications. The systems are emergency room service data, Forensic Center data, and other sources as appropriate.
