What are the responsibilities and job description for the OPS Fruit and Vegetable Inspector position at Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services?
The Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is hiring for tomato OPS seasonal state inspectors in the Manatee and Hillsborough area. No experience needed. All training will be paid for. Pay starts at $17 dollars an hour.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must speak, read and write English to complete reports and communicate with employer, co-workers and patrons of the employer.
- Valid Drivers license or ID.
- Must have A High School Diploma or GED.
Job Types: Part Time or Full Time
The packing houses dictate when work is performed. Hours will vary depending on when packing house is running.
Job Duties: Must follow the rules of the packing houses. Will inspect produce against the US grade standards and determine if the produce meets or fails to meet the standards. Will be Required to drive to different packing houses to inspect produce.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 per hour
