Dental Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic by assisting dentists during procedures, managing patient interactions, and maintaining a sterile environment. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as excellent communication skills to provide exceptional patient care.

Duties

• Assist dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols. FLORIDA RADIOLOGY LICENSE REQUIRED.
• Maintain infection control protocols by sterilizing instruments and disinfecting treatment areas.
• Educate patients on pre-op and post-treatment care.
• Schedule appointments and manage the front desk duties as needed, including answering phones and handling patient inquiries.
• Assist in implant surgery procedures, demonstrating knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental treatments.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of anatomy related to dental health is essential.
• Understanding of dental terminology to communicate effectively with both patients and staff.
• Experience in a dental clinic setting is advantageous, particularly in roles involving both assisting and receptionist duties.
• Knowledge of infection control standards to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Experience or interest in implant dentistry is a plus.
• Proficiency in medical imaging techniques relevant to dentistry is beneficial.

Pay: $22.39 - $26.96 per hour
