Manufacturing Customer Service Representative

This is an Inside Customer Service Representative / Account Manager role. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who can quickly learn our business and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. While industry experience is a plus, we will provide training specific to custom plastic injection molding.

The ideal candidate will possess strong computer proficiency, excellent time management skills, and outstanding verbal and written communication abilities. A consistent sense of urgency and commitment to meeting deadlines—while keeping customers informed—is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with established customers through phone and written communication
• Receive, review, and process customer orders, including revisions and updates
• Enter and manage orders within the PLEX ERP system and maintain accurate customer records
• Verify pricing, sales terms, and shipping/service instructions
• Respond to customer inquiries related to product selection, pricing, quotes, and order issues (returns, shortages, adjustments, expediting, etc.)
• Collaborate with manufacturing to ensure customer requirements and expectations are met
• Prepare quotes for standard production items
• Generate reports as needed
• Escalate complex or technical issues to appropriate team members

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred; equivalent work experience with demonstrated success will be considered
• Experience working with management at multiple levels
• Background in sales and/or marketing, preferably within a manufacturing or production environment (strongly preferred)
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and general computer applications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
