Senior Project Manager – Multifamily Construction – Miami-Dade County, Florida

This is an opportunity to join an owner/developer-builder’s construction team, leading multifamily project delivery in southern Miami-Dade County. You will carry the project from preconstruction handoff through completion, connecting field execution with the budget, schedule, contracts, and decisions that keep construction moving.

You will work closely with construction leadership, an Owner’s Representative, the Superintendent, design professionals, and trade partners. You will also lead an Assistant Project Manager and help strengthen the reporting and follow-through that support successful delivery.

WHAT YOU WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Take ownership of project execution from preconstruction handoff through turnover and closeout.
• Review plans and specifications for constructability, coordination conflicts, scope gaps, and potential cost or schedule impacts.
• Manage project budgets, commitments, forecasting, change orders, pay applications, and financial reporting.
• Coordinate procurement, subcontract scopes, buyout, and deliveries with the construction schedule.
• Partner with the Superintendent on sequencing, site logistics, subcontractor performance, quality, and milestone completion.
• Lead project meetings and coordinate owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and trade partners, with clear decisions and follow-up.
• Guide an Assistant Project Manager and maintain accurate RFIs, submittals, project records, and reporting.
• Coordinate permitting, inspections, utilities, punch lists, certificates of occupancy, and final closeout.
• Keep leadership informed of progress, risks, decisions needed, and proposed solutions.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

• Progressive building-construction project management experience, with responsibility for costs, schedules, contracts, subcontractors, and project delivery.
• Ground-up multifamily experience and the ability to explain your role, the phases you managed, and the results you helped achieve.
• Practical knowledge of building systems, construction sequencing, means and methods, and field operations.
• The ability to read and coordinate architectural, structural, civil, and MEP documents.
• Experience working within a general contractor or developer-builder construction team, or comparable direct responsibility for construction execution.
• The judgment to resolve issues independently, communicate when a decision is needed, and follow through on commitments.
• Experience using Procore or comparable construction management tools to keep information accurate and accessible.
• Readiness to work on site daily in southern Miami-Dade County.

Affordable, workforce, or senior housing experience is a plus. Familiarity with Miami-Dade permitting and local construction conditions is also valuable. A construction-related degree is preferred.
