Job Description - Parts Sales Specialist - Counter Sales

We are an Equal Opportunity Employer / Veterans / Disabled. The role of the Technician is to perform heavy-duty mechanical repair under general supervision.
The role of the Parts Counter Person is to assist both customers and service/internal team members in the area of parts and supplies.
Responsibilities:
- Receives and fills parts requests for customers both in person and via the telephone
- Helps customers with their specific needs
- Fills customer orders from stock using a computerized system
- Follows all company and vendor policies and procedures
- Receives payment, makes proper change, and warp or bag merchandize for customer.
- Advises customer on substation or modification of part when replacement is not available
- Examines returned part to determine if defective, exchanges part or refunds money
- Participates in rolling inventory checks
- Takes inventory of stock and presents an accurate count to the Parts Manager
- Responds to request for service and assistance
- Keeps Parts room clean and free of clutter.
- Greets all customers promptly and courteously as they enter the Store and begin each work day with a
- positive attitude
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required, but a college degree is preferred
- Previous Parts experience is desirable
- Computer proficiency is required
- Team oriented and driven to provide a high level of customer service
- Very good interpersonal skills to work with customers in person and over the phone

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to clearly communicate and use a computer to effectively perform the functions of the job.
Physical ability to lift a 15-50 lbs.
