Position Summary
A Forklift Operator is responsible for operating industrial forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise or materials. This role ensures the safe and efficient handling of goods within a warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing facility.
Key Skills Required

- Must be able to read and write English.
- Knowledge of packaging materials, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Knowledge of GMP, Standard Operating Procedures, & Food Safety Systems.
- Must be familiar with computers and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Decipher between the types of packaging material being pulled and to ensure FEFO/FIFO of the materials. Alert the Supervisor of any damage or defect to the pallet or material.
- Cycle Count of Inventory & computer input
- Ensure Forklift Safety compliance and other company policies and procedures.
- Verify items & quantities on packing slips and receive as necessary
- Perform Housekeeping task to maintain a clean workspace.
- Effectively communicates and collaborates with the functional areas of Material Coordinator, Production, & Warehousing.
- All other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor.
Education/Experience
- High School diploma or GED required
- 1-2 years of related forklift driving/ Material Handler experience
