Flores Food Truck has a permanent food service location inside vehicle motor company in Louisville, KY to service employees.

We are hiring multiple full time positions.

Our ideal candidate is a positive, energetic individual with leadership skills.

Our kitchen team will be responsible for assisting the Sous Chef in prepping all food ingredients and preparing and serving food for multiple shifts, 6-7 days per week, along with maintaining kitchen and food truck cleanliness. Please ONLY APPLY for this position of you have cooking experience and training. A culinary degree is a plus but not required. You MUST have reliable transportation to and from the job site.

Job Functions Include:

1. Responsible for production according to recipes/directions

2. Cut and clean a variety of fruits, vegetables, and proteins using a knife and/or cutting machines

3. Prepare and serve food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

4. Follows production sheets, portioning and merchandising details as instructed by the Sous Chef and Owner.

5. Follows all recipes and guidelines while meeting production deadlines

6. Ensures consistent quality on all prepared items

7. Tastes all food prepared for station to ensure flavor, freshness, and quality

8. Maintains a clean and organized station and prep area, wash dishes, keep kitchen equipment clean, mop floors.

9. Maintains kitchen equipment

10. Follows proper rotation and storage of goods

11. Follows safety and sanitation procedures with all guidelines from OSHA, Department of Public Health and Risk Management

12. Provide excellent customer service for each customer you are serving.

Skills

• Proven culinary experience
• Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
• Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions
• Familiar with industry’s best practices
• Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
• Culinary degree or related certificate would be a plus
