Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our In-House Rehab Team at Florence Hand Home for Nursing and Rehabilitation in LaGrange, Georgia. As a COTA, you will play a vital role in restoring function and preventing further decline in patients' abilities to perform daily tasks. Job Responsibilities:
Treat patients on Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial insurance, and other plans, following acceptable practice standards
Record daily treatment charges according to approved billing guidelines
Document daily notes and progress notes according to documentation guidelines
Participate in patient/resident care conferences, interdisciplinary team meetings, and other meetings as required and directed
Communicate with supervisor and other healthcare team members regarding patient/resident progress, problems, and plan
Participate in in-service training programs for other staff in the facility
Instruct families in caregiver training for patients to return home
Coordinate with members of other departments and staff in the Rehab Department
Perform other duties as requested
Requirements:
Flexible with working weekends and/or weekend rotations
Occupational Therapist Assistant Licensure in the state of Georgia
