Sales Associate

We will be looking to fill full-time and part-time positions in our dispensary.

Sales Associate Role and Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to every person who enters the facility
• Generate sales through customer interaction, product assistance, and suggestive selling
• Educate new clientele on the different effects of cannabis
• Prevent asset loss through proper floor awareness and inventory management
• Execute an attention to detail by performing counter transactions without errors or shortages
• Adhere to store visual directives, maintenance standards, and cleanliness standards
• Consistently exemplify a teamwork attitude with management and coworkers to improve personal and store performance
• Communicate effectively with management and coworkers concerning business issues and opportunities
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, and follow all safety standards to ensure a safe work and shopping environment
• Support the Store Management team in driving and maximizing store sales, controlling and minimizing shrinkage to achieve store goals
• Maintain a positive team-oriented attitude
• Complete all other duties as assigned

Security Role and Additional Responsibilities (May be Required of Full-Time Employees)

• Provides a safe and secure internal and external environment, implementing safety policies to ensure the safety of employees, customers, and company assets at all times
• Monitors Flora Terra property and immediate surrounding areas, (e.g., parking lot, property line, and internal access points, etc.)
• Observes, cautions, instructs, corrects, investigates, and reports persons or incidents involving unusual suspicious or unwanted activity such as vandalism, property damage, or rule infractions
• Identifies potential security and safety risks, or undesirable conditions and reports such activities according to Flora Terra reporting protocols
• Responds to all emergency situations including, but not limited to, medical emergencies, undesirable conduct, violations of company policies or civil law; assists until proper authorities arrive
• In conjunction with other Safety Team members, directs all incoming and outgoing vehicles to control traffic and parking in the lot
• Conducts crowd control at the front door and in the dispensary area, forming lines and updating customers to help manage their service expectations during busy periods
• Determines admission or denial to any visitor or customer, questioning and removing persons as necessary; coordinates actions with Safety Manager, and/or Manager-on-Duty as needed
• Communicates with Retail Manager, other Managers and Shift Supervisors, and dispensary staff to handle safety concerns
• Interfaces with local law enforcement and security agencies as situations require
• Documents any irregularity, incident, or emergency actions concerning safety and security, completing all required paperwork
• Follows health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
• Complies with Flora Terra dress code requirements
• Perform Receptionist/Check-In Desk duties when necessary
• Must be flexible and able to be scheduled as needed, including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Assists in maintaining facilities throughout the day, including cleaning of bathrooms
• Other tasks as assigned by the Retail Manager

Qualification Requirements

• At least one (1) year of retail, hospitality, or other customer service-focused industry experience; dispensary experience a plus!
• High degree of detail orientation and a proven track record of working within strict compliance requirements
• Open schedule availability, nights and weekends are a must
• May be required to obtain a Security Guard Card
• Must be over 21 years of age

Physical Demands

Must be able to see, hear, talk, walk, push, pull, twist, lift, squat, climb a ladder, and stand for prolonged periods. Must be able to lift and carry approximately 20-35 lbs regularly.

Preferred Skills

Excellent time management skills, multi-tasking abilities and capable of organizing tasks within shifts. Ability to work on several requests simultaneously without losing focus. High attention to detail. Extremely organized. Able to deal with complex issues in a fast-paced setting/ Self-motivated with a results-driven approach. Create and maintain a proactive and positive environment. Ability to use initiative and independent judgment appropriately while not overstepping the chain of command.
