Job Summary
A fast-paced immigration practice seeks a customer service-oriented individual with immigration law firm paralegal experience to join our firm as a Client Liaison. This is a full-time, onsite position and fluency in English and Spanish is required. This role serves as a primary in-person point of contact for all clients in order to maintain positive client relationships. This role bridges client-facing service with light administrative/paralegal support, allowing attorneys and paralegals to focus on casework. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable about immigration law, has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service for people from all walks of life.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Maintain client relationship by providing client updates regarding process and status of case;
- Assist paralegals and/or attorneys by answering client questions about documents and intakes;
- Field client questions regarding case status, billing, and process;
- Assist clients with immigration-related issues, including, but not limited to, obtaining SSNs and driver's licenses;
- Survey current clients on satisfaction with the firm's services;
- Enter clear and accurate notes in case management system (Clio);
- Ensure all client interactions are warm, welcoming, and professional.
Qualifications and Skills
- Fluency in both English and Spanish (conversing, reading, and writing).
- Undergraduate degree preferred but not required.
- 1-2 years of immigration law firm experience required, as well as 1-2 years of general customer service (regardless of field).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and guide conversations effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Professionalism, reliability, and the capacity to work both independently and within a team.
- Strong organization, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt easily to changing circumstances.
