About The Role
We're looking for a
Manufacturing Supervisor
to lead shift operations and drive performance across safety, productivity, cost, quality, delivery, and morale. Using a
Continuous Improvement framework
, you'll manage a unionized crew, allocate resources effectively, and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll coach and develop team members, foster a strong safety culture, and ensure compliance with plant standards and regulatory requirements.
What You'll Do
- Plan and manage daily allocation of resources (equipment, people, materials) to meet performance targets.
- Supervise hourly union employees, including hiring, training, performance reviews, and discipline.
- Coach and mentor team members to meet current and future business needs.
- Drive Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) and Quality culture; ensure compliance with all safety and legislative requirements.
- Manage productivity during off-shifts, including issue resolution, crewing adjustments, and coordination with Maintenance, Planning, and Quality teams.
- Utilize Kronos Timekeeping System to maintain accurate records of hours worked, overtime, and absences.
- Communicate site targets and goals to shift crews consistently and accurately.
- Foster positive employee relations and administer the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
- Investigate safety, quality, and environmental incidents using WCM Root Cause Analysis.
- Comply with all company and plant rules; perform other duties as assigned.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Technical/Engineering or Supply Chain OR equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of WCM, SHE, Quality, GMPs, and plant-specific training.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to motivate and lead in a union environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to influence and build collaborative relationships.
- Skilled in conflict resolution and fostering an inclusive work environment.
- Ability to drive change and innovation while meeting deadlines with accuracy and professionalism.
