Through every purchase, customers directly support artisan communities around the world. We strive to create a welcoming space where students, healthcare professionals, and community members can discover unique products, learn the stories behind them, and make a positive global impact.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by warmly greeting customers, answering questions, and sharing the stories and impact behind our artisan-made products.
- Process sales accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Maintain an organized, visually appealing sales floor by stocking merchandise, arranging displays, and ensuring the store remains clean and inviting.
- Handle cash transactions responsibly, including opening and closing register procedures and balancing the cash drawer.
- Assist with inventory tasks, including pricing, tagging merchandise, and preparing products such as earrings for display.
- Support daily store operations and contribute to a positive shopping experience for every customer.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for customer service.
- Previous retail, cashier, or POS experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and basic math skills for accurate cash handling.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a small team.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing light lifting, stocking, and merchandising tasks.
- Interest in fair trade, sustainability, handmade goods, or supporting small businesses is a plus.
Pay: $13.00 per hour
