We’re looking for a Staff Software Engineer who doesn’t just build software — but shapes platforms, accelerates teams, and drives step-function impact.

This is a high-leverage role where your architectural decisions will influence the entire FloQast application ecosystem and directly accelerate innovation across our products.

What You'll Do

Architect and build at scale

• Design and deliver core platform capabilities powering FloQast applications
• Define system architecture and functional specifications
• Build highly scalable, distributed systems for enterprise customers
  
  

Set the technical bar

• Lead complex design discussions and establish engineering best practices
• Drive improvements in reliability, performance, and developer experience
• Own critical technical decisions that shape platform direction
  
  

Partner to deliver real impact

• Work closely with Product and Design to shape the roadmap
• Engage directly with customers and stakeholders to understand workflows
• Translate ambiguity into clear, executable technical strategy
  
  

Multiply the team

• Mentor senior engineers and elevate technical depth across the org
• Lead through influence, not authority
• Create leverage through reusable platform investments
  
  

What You'll Bring

• 10 years building and shipping complex software systems
• Proven track record driving large-scale technical initiatives end-to-end
• History of mentoring and raising the bar for engineering teams
  
  

Technical depth

• Strong expertise across modern backend and frontend stacks
• Go, Node.js , TypeScript, React
• MongoDB and AWS
• Deep experience designing distributed systems at enterprise scale
• Strong API design and platform thinking
• Solid understanding of security and compliance in SaaS environments
  
  

Mindset

• Strong product intuition — you balance elegance with business impact
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and moving from idea → production
• Customer-obsessed and outcome-driven
  
  

Bonus points

• Fintech, accounting, or enterprise SaaS experience
• Familiarity with ERP or accounting workflows
• Background in workflow automation platforms
  
  

This job posting is for our Staff Software Engineer, the base pay range for this position is $164,000 - $246,000. Compensation is not limited to base salary. FloQast values our Total Rewards, and offers a competitive and elaborate Benefits Package including, but not limited to, Medical, Dental, Vision, Family Forming benefits, Life & Disability Insurance, and Unlimited Vacation. FloQast reserves the right to amend, change, alter, and revise pay ranges and benefits offerings at any time.
