Position Overview
We are seeking a polished and driven Flooring Sales & Design Consultant to join our showroom team. This is not a transactional retail role—this is a consultative sales position where you will work closely with homeowners, designers, and contractors to bring projects to life.
The ideal candidate has a strong sense of design, confidence in guiding clients through important decisions, and the ability to manage projects from concept through completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and engage showroom clients with a professional, consultative approach
- Guide customers through premium flooring selections based on design, lifestyle, and budget
- Provide design insight and help clients visualize finished spaces
- Review project details including measurements, layouts, and specifications
- Develop tailored proposals and pricing for each project
- Enter estimates and manage project details in QuickBooks
- Coordinate material sourcing, special orders, and vendor relationships
- Schedule installations and communicate with installers to ensure quality execution
- Oversee projects through completion, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction
- Maintain a clean, well-merchandised showroom with up-to-date displays
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales (flooring, home improvement, interior design, or similar high-value products preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and guide clients confidently
- Eye for design and attention to detail
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Comfortable working with systems and learning new software (QuickBooks experience is a plus)
- Self-motivated with a professional, polished presence
Compensation & Benefits

- Expected total earnings: $65,000 – $90,000 annually, based on experience and results
