Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Carpet Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing various types of flooring, including carpet, vinyl, hardwood, epoxy, and tile, ensuring each project meets high standards of quality and safety. Your expertise will help transform spaces by providing professional flooring solutions that enhance both aesthetics and functionality. Duties

• Measure and interpret construction plans and schematics to determine material requirements and installation procedures
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and repairing subfloors to ensure proper adhesion of flooring materials
• Install carpets using hand tools and power tools, ensuring tight seams and secure fastening for a flawless finish
• Lay vinyl, hardwood, tile, epoxy floors, and other flooring materials according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards
• Perform floor refinishing tasks such as buffing, water damage restoration, and surface preparation to extend the lifespan of existing floors
• Use caulking, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and painting skills to complete detailed finishing work around flooring installations
• Interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately for precise installation aligned with project plans
• Adhere strictly to building installation safety compliance protocols at all times during project execution

Skills

• Strong knowledge of flooring installation techniques including carpet laying, vinyl floor installation, hardwood floor installation, tile laying, epoxy floor installation, and floor refinishing
• Proficiency with hand tools such as cutters, staplers, trowels, and caulking guns; experience with power tools like saws and drills
• Ability to interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings effectively
• Manual handling skills for lifting heavy materials safely while maintaining proper ergonomics
• Construction estimating experience for assessing project scope and material needs accurately
• Familiarity with building material installation standards including water damage restoration and floor care practices
• Experience in remodeling projects involving cabinet installation, construction painting, concrete finishing, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and restoration industry practices
• Knowledge of construction site safety protocols to ensure compliance during all phases of flooring projects
• Hands-on experience with blueprint reading and interpreting technical schematics for precise execution of complex installations
• Previous construction site experience with a focus on flooring or related building industries is highly desirable
