Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload products using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling and secure placement of goods.
- Deliver orders to customers across designated routes, maintaining punctuality and professionalism throughout each trip.
- Provide outstanding customer service by communicating clearly with clients, answering questions, and addressing any delivery concerns promptly.
- Inspect vehicles regularly for maintenance needs or safety issues, reporting any concerns immediately.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records to ensure accountability and traceability.
- Assist in warehouse activities as needed, including moving stock within the facility and preparing shipments for dispatch.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with route driving responsibilities involving box trucks or similar vehicles.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
- Warehouse experience including loading/unloading, heavy lifting, and equipment operation such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
- Ability to perform physical tasks involving moving heavy items safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to commercial driving and warehouse operations.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for route planning and documentation.
