Position Overview
At Flooring Concepts, we’ve built our reputation over nearly three decades by providing top-quality commercial and residential flooring solutions throughout Southern Indiana and the surrounding region. We're looking to partner with experienced, professional carpet installation crews who take pride in delivering exceptional workmanship and customer service.
As a Contract Carpet Installer, you'll represent Flooring Concepts in our customers' homes and businesses by providing high-quality carpet installations completed safely, efficiently, and with attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Carpet Installation
- Install residential carpet according to industry best practices.
- Stretch-in carpet over pad, glue-down carpet, carpet tile, and other specified carpet systems.
- Complete pattern matching and seam placement with a high level of craftsmanship.
- Install transitions, stair runners, and other finishing details as required.
- Remove and dispose of existing flooring as required.
Jobsite Preparation & Quality
- Review work orders and verify all materials before beginning installation.
- Identify and communicate jobsite concerns prior to installation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Protect customer property throughout the installation process.
- Complete punch list items and final walkthroughs to ensure customer satisfaction.
Professionalism
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, project managers, and all other team members at Flooring Concepts.
- Arrive on time and complete projects according to scheduled timelines.
- Maintain a clean appearance and represent the Flooring Concepts brand professionally.
- Promptly report jobsite issues, material shortages, or unforeseen conditions.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of professional carpet installation experience.
- Experience with residential and/or commercial carpet installation.
- Must provide your own installation tools, including power stretcher.
- Must provide transportation for all materials to job sites.
- Valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
- General liability insurance coverage with valid certificate of insurance.
- Ability to lift and move flooring materials weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to read work orders and installation diagrams.
- Reliable, dependable, and customer-focused.
