Responsibilities of the Sales Professional include:
- Sell flooring and floor care products
- Greeting customer on the sales floor and determining their wants and needs
- Keeping up-to-date on the wide selection of floors we have to offer along with the benefits and warranties provided by each
- Assisting customers with flooring choices - explaining features and benefits of various types of flooring as well as decorating and design advice
- Provide outstanding customer service by following up in a timely and professional manner with customers on all requests or concerns
- Building client relationships
- Networking regularly and prospecting for new business
- Using computer database to research availability of merchandise and to process orders
- Visiting customer’s homes or workplaces to provide product and design advice, working effectively with other store employees as a member of the team
GREAT candidates for the sales professional position will have:
- Knowledge of floor coverings and the flooring industry is helpful
- Passion for, or experience with, decorating or design
- A history of demonstrated success in retail sales and/or customer service
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Strong mathematical skills
- Some college preferred
- A positive, can-do attitude and desire to exceed expectations
- A passion for developing and maintaining long-term customer relationships
