Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions by establishing and posting accounts in compliance with company policy and legal standards.
- Develop, refine, and oversee accounting systems, charts of accounts, and bookkeeping procedures.
- Verify, allocate, and reconcile subsidiary accounts and ledgers.
- Prepare journal entries, month-end closings, and financial statements.
- Balance general ledgers, reconcile trial balances, and ensure data accuracy.
- Manage financial document retention and audit readiness.
- Prepare detailed financial reports, including cash flow analysis and profit/loss statements.
- Monitor trends, variances, and cost efficiencies to support leadership decisions.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements by researching and applying financial regulations.
- Provide insights and recommendations to management for improving financial operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
- CPA certification (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including senior-level or supervisory responsibilities.
- Previous bookkeeping experience preferred.
- Experience managing multiple legal entities under different corporate umbrellas.
- Strong proficiency with QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
