Purpose :
Floor & Decor's Learning and Development Team seeks a dynamic Instructional Designer - Creative Content Developer to design and develop innovative, engaging training programs for our retail stores, distribution centers, and customer support center associates. This role requires a blend of instructional design expertise and creative content development, emphasizing graphic design, multimedia production, and e-learning creation.
As an Instructional Designer, you will collaborate with business leaders to assess learning needs, define performance gaps, and create high-quality instructional content that enhances associate performance and drives business outcomes. You will leverage Adobe Creative Suite, Vyond, Axonify, and other digital design tools to develop visually appealing, interactive, and engaging learning materials.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements :
- Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design, Training and Development, Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, or equivalent experience.
- 5-7 years of experience in instructional design, content development, and multimedia production, preferably in a fast-paced environment such as retail or hospitality.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for graphic and multimedia design.
- Experience with e-learning tools such as Axonify, Articulate Storyline, Vyond, and Captivate.
- Strong knowledge of LMS platforms (Axonify preferred).
- Instructional Design Expertise - Strong understanding of instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) and the ability to design blended learning solutions (e-learning, ILT, and video-based training).
- Project & Communication Skills - Ability to manage priorities, collaborate with stakeholders, and convey complex information clearly, emphasizing exceptional written communication.
