Sales Development Representative

Floor Coverings International – Vancouver / Portland Metro

Base Salary: $40,000-$45,000 Performance Bonus Potential up to $55,000 Total Compensation

Floor Coverings International (FCI) is a fast-growing, locally owned home services company serving the Vancouver–Portland metro area. We are looking for a driven, energetic Sales Development Representative who is excited to generate opportunities, build relationships, and create momentum for the sales team.

This role is ideal for someone early in their career who wants to break into sales, learn quickly, and build a long-term path within a growing organization. It is also designed as a clear development path into a future Design Associate role for the right person.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Lead Engagement & Outreach

· Engage inbound and outbound leads through phone calls, email, text, and social outreach

· Start conversations with prospective clients and create interest in our services

· Follow up consistently with leads who have not yet booked appointments

· Help keep the pipeline active and moving

Lead Qualification & Appointment Setting

· Qualify prospects based on fit, timing, and level of interest

· Schedule meetings and in-home appointments for the sales team

· Ensure prospects are properly informed and prepared for the next step in the sales process

· Support efforts to improve appointment conversion rates and reduce fallout

CRM & Activity Tracking

· Maintain accurate CRM records and document lead activity

· Track outreach efforts, follow-up attempts, and appointment-setting results

· Stay organized and ensure lead information is current and complete

· Help maintain visibility into pipeline activity and next steps

Product Knowledge & Sales Development

· Learn our products, services, and value propositions

· Develop an understanding of customer pain points and common objections

· Build confidence in communicating our process and differentiators

· Grow in sales ability through coaching, repetition, and real-world experience

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

· Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to improve messaging and outreach

· Share feedback from customer conversations to help strengthen lead generation efforts

· Contribute energy, ideas, and curiosity to a team that values growth and accountability

· Participate in training and development with the goal of advancing into a Design Associate role

What We’re Looking For

· Strong communication skills and a natural ability to connect with people

· A self-starter mindset with a willingness to learn and take initiative

· Comfort with outreach, follow-up, and handling objections

· Coachability, resilience, and a positive attitude

· Strong organization and follow-through

· Sales experience is a plus, but not required

· Ambition, drive, and a desire to grow are required

Compensation & Growth

· $40,000 - $45,000 base salary

· Performance bonus potential up to $55,000 total compensation
