Job Summary:
The Restoration Rebuild Estimator is responsible for evaluating property damage and preparing accurate cost estimates for reconstruction following events such as water, fire, mold, or storm damage. This role works closely with project managers, insurance adjusters, and clients to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality restoration projects.
Key Responsibilities· Conduct on-site inspections to assess structural damage and scope of work
· Prepare detailed estimates using industry-standard software such as Xactimate
· Collaborate with insurance adjusters to review and negotiate claims
· Develop project scopes, budgets, and timelines
· Communicate clearly with clients regarding project expectations and costs
· Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams
· Ensure all estimates comply with local building codes and regulations
· Track and update estimates throughout the project lifecycle
· Assist in project handoff to production teams
Qualifications· Experience in construction, restoration, or estimating (3 years preferred)
· Proficiency in Xactimate or similar estimating tools
· Strong understanding of residential and/or commercial construction practices
· Ability to read blueprints and technical documents
· Excellent communication and negotiation skills
· Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
· Be able to pass a background & RMV check
Preferred Skills· Experience with insurance claims and restoration processes
· Knowledge of mitigation and rebuild workflows
· Certifications such as IICRC (e.g., WRT, FSRT)
· Familiarity with local building codes and permitting
Work Environment· Combination of fieldwork (property inspections) and office-based estimating
· May require travel to job sites
· Occasional after-hours or emergency response work
