ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Inspecting
Evaluating workplace environments, programs, equipment, and practices to ensure compliance with government safety regulations
- Designing
Developing and implementing safety policies and procedures to control or prevent risks to workers
- Training
Providing initial new-hire safety training and follow-up, and demonstrating use of safety equipment
- Investigating
Conducting investigations into incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine the cause and possible prevention
- Auditing
Conducting audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Reporting
Preparing written reports of findings and creating and delivering safety-related reports and presentations

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Position holder generally works in an office environment. Will be required to visit different office locations and job sites with varied environments based on the nature of business.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Transportation Management or related field (Preferred)
- 3 Years of verifiable experience and SME in DOT Regulations and compliance
- Public speaking and/or adult education experience
- Proficient in Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Must have a valid drivers license with no major violations
- Advanced abilities with Excel
- Comfortable using a computer for various tasks beyond general use
- 3 years of experience in Transportation Safety
- OSHA 30 Construction Certification (Must be able to attain within 90 days of employment)
- Must be able to obtain forklift certification and forklift trainer certification
SALARY
$75,000 per annum, depending on experience
TRAVEL REQUIRED
This role will require travel between Atlanta, GA and Manchester, TN periodically throughout the month. Must also visit potential and current jobsites to ensure safety.
