Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role in Ocala, FL, for a Vac Truck Operator. The role involves operating Vac trucks to clean, maintain, and inspect stormwater and sanitary sewer systems. Responsibilities include safely handling equipment, adhering to safety protocols, performing routine maintenance checks on vehicles, and ensuring compliance with company standards. The operator will work closely with a team in field environments to complete scheduled and emergency projects efficiently.
Qualifications
- Experience operating vacuum trucks, heavy machinery, or similar equipment
- Familiarity with stormwater and sewer system cleaning and maintenance procedures
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and ability to work in compliance with environmental and safety standards
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including outdoor conditions and confined spaces
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with required endorsements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in confined space entry or safety procedures are a plus
