SUMMARY: Quality Inspector Makes in-process and final inspections of aircraft fuel cells and work in progress to ensure conformance with quality standards and FAA FAR requirements using approved drawings, shop orders and other specifications by performing the following duties. This includes leak check, initial inspection, glue viscosity test, and final inspection.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Inspects assembled fuel cells and confirms conformance to drawings.
2. Reports discrepancies and findings to management and works with Production staff to determine root cause and helps formulate corrective action plans to eliminate repeat defects.
3. Completes and maintains inspection documents.
4. Prepares reports of findings and data as required by management.
5. Makes suggestions and advises management of conditions requiring process and procedure changes and any trends developing which would have adverse impact on product quality.
6. Provides assistance in training employees to correctly identify and correct defects.
7. Identify and control data and materials to be reviewed at Quality Meetings.
8. Maintains a clean and orderly work area and promotes safety and attend safety meetings as required by management.
9. Able to perform all duties required of the Quality Associate. Quality experience preferred but not required.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.
