Spend your summer DRIVING adventure! We’re Float Eureka, a watersports outfitter specializing in stand up paddleboard, kayak, and canoe rentals. We’re located on highway 62 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
We are hiring shuttle drivers to drive our customers from our office to the White River outside of Eureka Springs. You'll be driving an approachable passenger van, hauling a canoe trailer, and helping our guests as they get prepared to experience the White River. Job schedule: We are hiring for a part time position that will work 3 or 4 days a week (schedule to be determined; likely to include holidays/weekends). The position will start in May and will end in August.
What you’ll do:
- Load and unload boats from canoe trailers and shuttle vehicles
- Drive the shuttle van with customers and a trailer full of canoes and kayaks to and from the river
- Discuss details of the float trip and the area with customers
- Perform routine maintenance and inspection of the shuttle van
- Communicate effectively with other members of the team about operations
- When not busy with the shuttle, rent canoes, kayaks, stand up paddleboards and related gear to customers
- Load and unload boats from customers’ vehicles
- Clean boats and equipment
- Check customers in for their float trip in the office, help load their coolers and gear, explain the float
You must be able to:
- Work weekends and summer holidays.
- Lift awkward 75 lb canoes and kayaks over your head and load them onto a canoe trailer by yourself, repeatedly.
- Work well independently and as part of a team in a high performing environment.
- Communicate via email or text with management and other team members.
- Demonstrate a clean driving record
- Drive and back up a van with a canoe trailer.
- Experience driving with a trailer (any kind) preferred.
