We are seeking an experienced Certified Flagger to join our team. The Certified Flagger is responsible for setting up traffic control devices and working with their traffic control crew to safely direct the movements of vehicles and pedestrians around a construction work zone.
Responsibilities:
- Under the direction of the Traffic Control Supervisor, set up the traffic control zone, utilizing traffic cones, signs, barriers and arrow boards.
- Maintain the safe flow of vehicular and pedestrian traffic around construction work zones.
- Utilize hand signals and hand held signs to direct traffic as required.
- Professionally communicate with motorists and pedestrians as required.
- Will be required to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays to support emergency road work as directed.
Requirements:
- Must have a current ATSSA Certification Card.
- Related traffic control flagger experience preferred.
- Must have your own reliable transportation
- Must be able to negotiate rough terrain.
- Must be able to climb up and down from vehicles
- Must be able to lift and carry equipment and materials up to a weight of 95 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
