Flip Out Hair Salon is growing and looking for talented, motivated stylists at multiple stages of their careers—from developing stylists building their clientele to highly productive stylists bringing an established book of business.

We've created a transparent Junior → Senior → Expert Stylist career path designed to reward productivity, client demand, book development, and professional growth.

Your starting level and compensation are based on your experience, demonstrated production, existing clientele, and other relevant performance indicators. From there, you'll have clear, measurable standards for increasing your commission and advancing to the next level.

Compensation & Career Levels

Junior Stylist | 40%–43.5% Service Commission
Best suited for developing stylists who are actively building their clientele and establishing consistent production.

Senior Stylist | 43.5%–47.5% Service Commission
Designed for established stylists with demonstrated service production, a growing or established clientele, and strong book-management habits.

Expert Stylist | 47.5%–50% Service Commission
Reserved for highly productive stylists with substantial client demand, strong production and consistently high performance.

All levels also receive:

• 20% commission on retail sales
• 100% of tips
• Opportunity for service price increases as experience and demand grow
• Defined performance reviews and commission advancement
• Clear criteria for advancement to the next stylist level

New-Hire & Book Transfer Bonus

Stylists joining Flip Out may also qualify for a first-year new-hire/book-transfer bonus, with larger opportunities available to experienced stylists bringing an established clientele.

Junior: Up to $1,000
Senior: Up to $2,500
Expert: Up to $4,000

The bonus is designed to reward a successful transition to Flip Out—not simply accepting the position. Eligibility and maximum bonus opportunity are established at hiring based on the stylist's experience, existing clientele and demonstrated historical performance.

Bonuses are earned over the stylist's first year based on continued employment, Good Standing and achievement of agreed-upon performance/book-transfer expectations.

This structure allows an established stylist to be rewarded for the business they successfully bring with them while also providing newer stylists an opportunity to earn additional compensation as they establish themselves at Flip Out.

Already have an established clientele? We'd especially like to talk with you. Your existing production and clientele may qualify you for a higher starting stylist level, higher starting commission and a larger first-year book-transfer bonus.

Still building your clientele? You don't need a large existing book to join Flip Out. Our Junior Stylist level provides a defined path for developing your production, clientele and compensation over time.

Job Type: Commission-based Hair Stylist
Compensation: 40%–50% service commission based on stylist level and performance, plus 20% retail commission and 100% of tips
