What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Marketer position at Flint?
About Flint
The best education anyone has ever received is one person paying close attention to one student: moving at their pace, noticing what they missed, and asking the next question at the right moment. But the current system is built around a compromise, with one teacher managing thirty students.
Flint exists to take that compromise off the table. Personalized learning, at the scale of a whole school — every student working with something closer to a tutor, and every teacher able to see what is actually happening across their class instead of guessing.
Today, Flint is used by hundreds of thousands of students across private schools, public school districts, international school groups, and governments.
The Role
Our current Head of Marketing, Sun, is moving into a product role and will continue to own product marketing. You will take over the rest of Flint’s marketing function, including social, our website, teacher and student programs, courses, press, and campaigns.
Many of these initiatives already exist. Your job is to understand what is working, decide what deserves to scale, and make it substantially better. You will often be both the person setting the direction and the person doing the work. You also have new, creative ideas that you want to take from 0 → 1. then 1 → 100.
You will report directly to our CEO and work closely with Sun during the handoff. Within your first one or two months, you should understand the full marketing stack, own its ongoing operation, and have made significant improvements to several key initiatives.
We expect to add more specialized marketers over time. This is not a promised management path: the right person is happy remaining a high-impact individual contributor and flexible enough to step into a player-coach role if needed.
What We’re Looking For
You have done marketing inside a company before and can point to several projects where you were the main or sole owner.
You are comfortable owning many different initiatives at once, including work across content, brand, community, programs, and growth.
You are a strong executor. You do not need a large team, agency, or detailed brief before you can produce excellent work.
You have good judgment about what is worth scaling, what needs to change, and what should stop.
You can write clearly and persuasively.
You are comfortable with ambiguity, changing priorities, and staying close to the details.
Previous startup experience is a strong advantage.
You care about education and like what Flint is building.

Salary : $130,000 - $165,000
