What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Technician position at Flint River Animal Hospital?
Flint River Animal Hospital is a privately owned, fast-paced, 5 doctor small animal practice located in rapidly-growing Huntsville. We are seeking a veterinary technician to join our team. Extensive technical experience is required. We are in search of someone familiar with Idexx in-house diagnostics, phlebotomy, catheter placement, digital radiography, cytology, venipuncture, etc. We are open Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Pay is competitive based on experience.
Supplemental pay types: Bonus after 90 days

Schedule:
- 10 hour shifts
- Monday – Friday
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Take medical histories and vital signs of patients.
- Monitor hospital patients and logging vital signs.
- Place catheters and perform blood draws
- Restrain and assist the doctor during exams, treatments, and anesthesia procedures
- Prepare animals and instruments for surgery
- Capable of lifting 50 lbs

Education: High school or equivalent (preferred)
