Role Description
This part-time Graphic Designer position is a hybrid role based in Flint, MI, allowing for a combination of on-site and remote work. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating and delivering visually compelling designs for various media, including branding materials, digital content, and print collateral for the FIA Education Department.
Fluency with contemporary graphic design trends and high-concept visual communication, with a portfolio that shows experimental ideas and a fun, unorthodox style is preferred. Day-to-day duties include conceptualizing designs, collaborating with teams, maintaining consistent brand identity, and ensuring high standards for all graphic outputs. Additionally, the Graphic Designer will contribute to other creative projects supporting some museum exhibitions, events, and promotional campaigns.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Graphic Design
- Strong knowledge and application of Typography and new current design trends
- Creative thinking and attention to detail
- Proficiency with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or equivalent tools
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines efficiently
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field is preferred
- Experience or interest in the arts, museums, or education is a plus
