Preferred Qualifications:
The ideal candidates will have competitive coaching experience at either the high school, college, or elite club level, effective written and oral communication skills, a connection to the youth and local athletic community, an ability to build relationships and work well with others, and a sharp perspective on the role of competitive athletics in the educational experience.
Principle duties include:
- Offer positive leadership as a member of the coaching staff.
- Work collaboratively and effectively with the Athletic Department, Athletic Trainers, Sports Performance Coaches, Equipment Manager, other coaches, Facilities personnel and others in the Department.
- Serve as an ambassador for the school and the program by connecting and following up with interested scholar-athletes.
- Conduct or assist with out-of-season programs within league rules, such as strength conditioning, leagues, and pre-/post-season workouts.
- Teach skills, rules, and strategy in modern and effective training sessions.
- Reinforce all guidelines and team rules.
- Provide a safe and developmental environment for student-athletes (physically and mentally).
- Work with parents, faculty, staff, and students in a constructive manner - even under stressful conditions.
