Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Technician role based in Jacksonville, FL. The GSE Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of ground support equipment such as tugs, aircraft tow bars, generators, and lighting systems. Key tasks include inspecting, testing, and diagnosing equipment for functionality, ensuring equipment compliance with safety standards, and documenting all maintenance activities. The role also involves responding to equipment service requests and collaborating with other maintenance teams to ensure operational readiness and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical repair systems, with experience troubleshooting issues in related equipment.
- Technical aptitude in the maintenance and repair of ground support equipment such as tugs, generators, or air compressors.
- Proficiency in using repair tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic software.
- Understanding of safety regulations, compliance standards, and equipment maintenance documentation practices.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, work in outdoor environments, and stand for extended periods.
- Military/civilian support equipment training, Automotive technology, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent hands-on experience will be considered.
