Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Instructor to join our gym team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, developing engaging curricula, and supporting student success. The Instructor will play a vital role in fostering an inclusive and dynamic classroom atmosphere, mentoring students, and collaborating with colleagues to enhance the programs.

Duties

• Deliver engaging lectures and facilitate discussions in accordance with established curriculum standards.
• Develop, update, and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with course objectives.
• Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Blackboard to create online course materials, assessments, and interactive activities.
• Incorporate research findings and current industry trends into instructional content to ensure relevance and rigor.
• Design and evaluate assessments to measure student learning outcomes effectively.
• Manage classroom dynamics through effective classroom management strategies, ensuring a respectful and productive learning environment.
• Provide academic advising and mentorship to support student progress and career development.
• Participate in curriculum development initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
• Engage in professional development activities related to learning technology, instructional design, and higher education pedagogy.
• Collaborate with colleagues on program planning, research projects, and institutional initiatives.

Requirements

• Proven experience in higher education teaching, including classroom management and lesson planning.
• Strong background in curriculum development, instructional design, and research methodologies.
• Proficiency with Learning Management Systems such as Blackboard or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with learning technology tools that enhance online and hybrid instruction.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse student populations, including adult learners.
• Experience in academic advising, mentoring, or student support services is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students actively in the learning process.
• Prior university experience is highly desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
