Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Wine Bar Server/Shift Supervisor role based in Cleveland, OH. The person in this position will greet guests, present menus, guide wine selections, and serve beverages and snacks while maintaining a high standard of hospitality. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing table and bar service, sharing wine knowledge with guests, processing sales in both the bar and retail shop, and supporting wine club and event experiences. The role also involves supervising shifts by coordinating staff, monitoring service quality, managing opening and closing procedures, and ensuring cleanliness and organization of the bar and shop areas.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centered approach and a collaborative attitude.
- Previous hospitality or bar/restaurant experience, including table service, POS operation, cash handling, and guest relations.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, specically Thursdays and Saturdays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry cases of wine, and perform opening/closing and side-work tasks safely.
- An interest in or background in wine-focused knowledge and skills with the ability to communicate concepts in an approachable way.
- Experience or familiarity with wine styles, regions, and production methods.
- The ability to recommend bottles, upsell flights, and support retail and club membership sales.
- Interest in ongoing wine education and professional development; prior supervisory or shift leadership experience is a plus.
