This role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC lathes to produce precision parts according to specifications. Candidates must be willing to travel to different client facilities across the U.S. and work in diverse industrial environments.Key ResponsibilitiesSetup & OperationSet up, adjust, and operate CNC lathes (including multi-axis and twin spindle machines) using G-code controls.Read and interpret blueprints, CAD models, and work orders to determine machining requirements.Perform tool changes, offsets, and adjustments to maintain tolerances.Quality & MaintenanceInspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges).Monitor machine performance and perform routine maintenance.Recognize tool wear and replace tools as needed.Safety & DocumentationFollow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.Complete production logs and quality documentation accurately.Travel RequirementsTravel to various client sites nationwide for temporary assignments.Adapt to different shop environments and work schedules.Maintain professionalism and represent the company positively at all locations.QualificationsExperience: Minimum 3 years operating CNC lathes; experience with Fanuc, Mazak, or similar controls preferred.Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in CNC machining is a plus.Skills: Ability to read blueprints, perform complex setups, and troubleshoot CNC equipment.Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.Travel: Must be willing and able to travel extensively (projects typically 4–12 weeks).
