Cactus Wellhead - CNC Machinist

This is a Cactus Wellhead position and is located in Bossier City, LA.

Night Shift: 5pm-5am

Job Summary: Performs various machining tasks to program, set up, and operate a CNC Lathe, Mill, or Multi Axis Machine. Measure and inspect all parts produced to API standards.

Essential Functions, Roles, and Responsibilities: Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.

• Practice safe work habits and comply with all quality, safety, health, and environmental policies, procedures, programs, and regulations
• Ability to create new programs based on engineering drawings and specifications
• Ability to program a variety of CNC controls
• Familiar with Mazak machines and Mazatrol CNC controls
• Deliver quality parts in a timely manner with limited scrap
• Set up machinery for production runs
• Identify and select proper machine tooling
• Ensure that the production parts meet specifications and verify their quality according to API standards
• Measure and inspect production parts using precision measuring toolings such as micrometers, calipers, plug gages, and thread gages
• Follows lockout tag-out procedures
• Keep machine and machining areas clean and free of debris
• Perform other regular duties as assigned or requested
• Work Overtime and or weekends as necessary to meet customer demand.

Education, Training, Experience: High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or a minimum of 2 years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Ability to read and understand detailed instruction drawings and specifications on wellhead equipment and valves.
• Ability to use micrometers and calipers
• Knowledge of good document control and process flow.
• Intermediate computer, language, and mathematical skills and advanced reasoning ability.
• Knowledge of Quality systems
