DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides information to internal and external customers regarding order status and changes.
- Maintains appropriate paperwork flow and prepares driver packets.
- Assist drivers as they come to drop or pick loads and log carrier/trailer information.
- Maintains and updates internal excel spreadsheets pertaining to shipping area.
- Release work tasks (waves) for outbound operations.
- Responds to queries from internal and external customers.
- Travel Required – No
- All other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- 1-3 Years of related work experience is required. Knowledge of shipping office processes and procedures for in-house transportation or logistics department is required.
OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Proven ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and ability to follow guidelines and procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change quickly.

- Manual dexterity and foot/hand/eye coordination is necessary to control industrial material handling equipment and vehicles.
- Subject to fluctuating temperatures within in the work facility, as impacted by the weather.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Flexsteel is committed to ensuring the health and safety of their workforce. Computer workstation and climate-controlled office environment. May enter operational areas which are non-air-conditioned and where workers can expect to be occasionally exposed to heat and humidity, fluctuating temperature conditions due to weather, chemical products, dust, odors, oil, fumes and noise. This position will be required to occasionally work near powered industrial trucks and equipment. This position will be required to occasionally work near and with moving mechanical parts.
Work will require the associate to wear personal protective equipment as directed and adhere to all facility environmental, safety and health rules and requirements
