Rack, build, cable, configure, and provision servers
- Rack, cable, and deploy Cisco Layer 2 networking equipment
- Troubleshoot, test, and perform quality assurance of server hardware
- Resolve hardware issues via trouble tickets
- Comfortable lifting weights (around 50 lbs) and standing on ladders for extended periods
- Ready to travel when needed
Desired experience:
• Operating system installation – Windows Server, Linux, Unix
• Cabling knowledge beyond dressing or running cabling, including port mapping and understanding cable types and purposes
• Basic hardware troubleshooting using logical methods of resolution
• Experience with Cisco Layer 2 networking equipment is a plus
• Experience with RAID levels is a plus
• Web server and database installation experience is a plus
