Job Overview:
We are hiring an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to support aerospace manufacturing operations. This role involves setting up, operating, and adjusting CNC machines to produce high-precision components with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC lathe machines (3, 4, and 5-axis)
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Adjust machine settings and troubleshoot issues independently
- Select tools, set feeds and speeds based on job requirements
- Inspect parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Maintain quality standards and ensure production accuracy
- Keep work area clean and organized
Requirements:
- 8 years of CNC Lathe machining experience
- Strong experience with 5-axis machining (mandatory)
- Experience with 3 & 4-axis CNC machines
- Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
- Experience with precision inspection tools
- Ability to troubleshoot machines independently
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
- Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred
- Must be comfortable working 2nd shift
