What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Mechanic position at Flexjet?
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the daily and preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on all ground service equipment including: road and off road vehicles, fuel trucks, hangar equipment, hydraulic jacks and other small engine equipment
- Inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining and modifying ground equipment
- Perform monthly and quarterly preventative maintenance check to include standard oil changes, lubrication work and other technical repairs on all equipment
- Maintain service logs and records of maintenance on equipment
- Keep tools and other equipment including work space area clean, organized, and in good working condition
- Removing, testing, repairing or replacing components of all equipment
- Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, local and company safety policies and procedures
- Inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining of hydraulic servicing units
- Performs other duties as assigned
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Must possess a valid drivers license
- Previous automotive experience required (5-plus years)
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills
- Must have basic office skills (Microsoft Word, office equipment)
- Highly self-motivated; ability to work with little or no supervision
- Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment
