Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our fast-paced warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing the accurate and efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. Your expertise will ensure smooth warehouse operations, timely order fulfillment, and optimal inventory management. Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments by verifying quantities, inspecting for damages, and recording deliveries using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Prepare outgoing shipments by selecting, packing, and labeling products according to order specifications, ensuring proper packaging for safe transit.
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely to load and unload trucks efficiently.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels through stock replenishment, stock rotation, and cycle counts utilizing warehouse distribution and inventory management software such as ERP or MRP systems.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with attention to accuracy and timeliness, supporting order fulfillment goals.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all loading/unloading activities and maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse distribution processes and improve overall operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven warehouse experience with a solid understanding of shipping & receiving procedures.
- Forklift experience operating stand-ups, sit-downs and pallet jacks is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), MRP software for inventory control.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for order processing and inventory adjustments.
- Experience with order picking & packing, stocking, and using RF scanners for data entry.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
