Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly analytical Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Manager to lead and support strategic acquisition initiatives that align with the company’s long-term growth objectives. The ideal candidate has strong financial modeling skills, proven deal execution experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams. This role involves sourcing opportunities, conducting due diligence, managing deal processes, evaluating strategic fit, and supporting integration planning.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deal Sourcing & Strategy
- Identify, evaluate, and recommend potential acquisition, partnership, and investment opportunities aligned with corporate strategy.
- Conduct market and competitive research to identify emerging trends and strategic targets.
- Build relationships with industry partners, brokers, advisors, and potential targets to support deal flow.
2. Financial Analysis & Valuation
- Lead financial modeling, valuation analyses (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions), and scenario planning.
- Assess financial statements, operating performance, and potential synergies of target companies.
- Prepare investment memoranda and presentations for senior leadership and executive approval.
3. Due Diligence & Deal Execution
- Manage and coordinate cross-functional due diligence efforts (finance, legal, HR, IT, operations).
- Work closely with external advisors, such as legal firms and financial consultants.
- Support negotiation of key terms including purchase agreements, structure, and deal conditions.
- Monitor project timelines to ensure smooth and timely execution.
4. Integration Planning
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support integration planning and ensure successful post-acquisition transitions.
- Identify operational risks and opportunities related to the integration process.
- Track and report on integration milestones, financial returns, and synergy realization.
5. Executive Communication
- Prepare clear and insightful reports, strategic analyses, board presentations, and recommendations.
- Present findings and deal structures to executive management and support decision-making.
QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or related field required.
- MBA or advanced degree preferred but not required.
Experience
- 3–5 years in M&A, corporate development, private equity, or investment banking.
- Demonstrated experience leading or supporting M&A transactions from evaluation to closing.
- Strong experience in building financial models and performing valuation analyses.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; expert in Excel financial modeling.
- Solid understanding of corporate finance, deal structures, and accounting principles.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Comfortable traveling up to 25% as needed for site visits, due diligence, and meetings.
- High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and strategic thinking.
