Our first flagship clinic on the U.S. West Coast will be the blueprint for a future network of 100–150 standardized clinics. We are looking for the #1 key leader who will define our operational DNA and set the gold standard for all future clinics.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, bilingual Clinical Manager / Imaging Center Clinical Manager to function as the clinical CEO of our flagship clinic.
This role is not a traditional clinic manager position—it is a 0 → 1 builder responsible for:
- Leading imaging center operations
- Designing and implementing all clinical SOPs
- Ensuring full compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and California medical regulations
- Managing cross-border coordination between U.S. and China physician teams
- Overseeing MRI/CT/X-ray workflows
- Recruiting and managing a 10–20 person clinical team
- Creating a scalable business and clinical model for future clinics
Ideal candidates have deep experience in U.S. imaging centers or hospitals, combined with Chinese cultural/medical fluency.
Key Responsibilities
1. Imaging Center Operations & Clinical Workflow Management
- Oversee daily operations of MRI, CT, X-ray, Ultrasound, bloodwork, nursing, and patient services.
- Manage imaging workflows, including scheduling, prep, scanning, tech assignment, and quality assurance.
- Monitor exam turnaround times, urgent case protocols, and patient experience standards.
- Ensure proper radiation safety practices, shielding requirements, and MRI zone compliance.
- Develop SOPs for clinical operations, exam pathways, urgent add-on scans, and patient communication.
2. Regulatory Compliance & Quality Control
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and California healthcare regulations.
- Oversee infection control, radiation safety, MRI/CT quality assurance, and equipment calibration.
- Maintain mandatory logs, incident reports, safety drills, QC documentation, and accreditation readiness.
- Implement and supervise daily QC for MRI, CT, X-ray, and PACS/RIS workflow integrity.
3. Clinical Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, and manage technologists (MRI/CT/X-ray Techs), RNs, MAs, front desk, and support staff.
- Establish culture, performance metrics, and professional development pathways.
- Ensure clinical staff adherence to SOPs, safety protocols, and service standards.
- Provide ongoing coaching in patient care, imaging quality, and workflow efficiency.
4. Equipment & Vendor Coordination
- Coordinate with MRI/CT/X-ray manufacturers and service vendors for installation, acceptance testing, calibration, and maintenance.
- Oversee equipment uptime, troubleshooting workflows, and vendor relationships.
- Manage supply inventory, clinical consumables, QA tools, and equipment life-cycle planning.
5. Cross-Border Medical Collaboration
- Communicate with U.S. attending physicians, radiologists, and specialists.
- Coordinate China-based radiology interpretation teams and surgical partners.
- Ensure seamless patient transitions between U.S. diagnostics → China treatment pathways.
- Facilitate bilingual (Chinese/English) communication for patients and providers.
6. Financial & Operational Optimization
- Manage clinical budgeting, scheduling, utilization rates, staffing ratios, and operational cost control.
- Improve MRI/CT utilization and throughput efficiency.
- Support membership programs, patient retention, and long-term health management strategies.
- Work with Finance on billing, reimbursement, coding integrity, and payer workflows.
7. Strategic Planning & Expansion Support
- Collaborate with HQ (Finance, HR, Tech, Marketing) to implement systems and standards.
- Provide input for site #2, #3 expansion and clinic network scalability.
- Refinement of clinical protocols based on operational data and patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Radiology, Medical Imaging, Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
Licenses & Certifications
- California Registered Radiologic Technologist (CRT / RT) or equivalent imaging credential highly preferred.
- HIPAA certification required.
- BLS / ACLS preferred (depending on patient acuity).
Clinical Experience
- Minimum 5 years of management experience in an imaging center, radiology department, or hospital environment.
- Strong understanding of MRI, CT, X-ray operations, safety standards, and workflow.
- Hands-on experience with radiation safety, OSHA standards, and QC protocols.
- Experience managing clinical teams of 10 preferred.
Management & Technical Skills
- Proven leadership in hiring, training, workflow management, and SOP development.
- Experience with PACS, RIS, modality worklist, and imaging QA systems.
- Ability to coordinate equipment installation, acceptance testing, and vendor management.
- Strong project management skills, especially in clinic build-out or imaging center setup.
Compliance & Quality
- Deep knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and California healthcare regulatory standards.
- Ability to supervise daily QC, radiation safety compliance, infection control, and documentation audits.
Communication
- Fluent in English and Chinese for clinical communication with U.S. and China-based teams.
- Ability to interact effectively with physicians, vendors, patients, and cross-border teams.
- Strong conflict resolution and crisis management abilities.
