You'll identify and cultivate new project opportunities by analyzing macroeconomic, legislative, and industry trends—such as sustainability initiatives and infrastructure investments—that shape bulk material handling demands. Oversee strategic customer engagement, competitive intelligence, and cross-functional collaboration to fuel revenue growth (target: 20-30% YoY) and innovation.
Duties
- Lead a team of business development analysts and strategic sales personnel, setting goals and providing mentorship for early-stage engagement and solution framing.
- Monitor legislative changes, infrastructure investments, and industry shifts to forecast demand for bulk material handling projects.
- Build and nurture relationships with C-level decision-makers at target companies to influence project initiation and secure partnerships.
- Conduct periodic reviews of existing customers to uncover expansion opportunities, unmet needs, and churn risks.
- Integrate competitive intelligence into sales strategies; develop AI-enabled tools for sales enablement and market forecasting.
- Oversee trade show strategies, CRM enhancements (e.g., pipeline segmentation and revival), and negotiate/ close high-value deals.
- Forge partnerships with universities and research institutions for pilot programs and technology demonstrations.
- Collaborate with engineering, service, and operations teams to align product development with evolving market needs.
- Drive internal alignment on strategic priorities, resource allocation, and global expansion initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 8-12 years of experience in sales, business development, or strategic planning within industrial, manufacturing, or engineering sectors.
- Proven track record leading cross-functional, global teams.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret macroeconomic, legislative, and sustainability trends.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
