We are hiring experienced CNC / EDM Machinists for a busy industrial machine shop in the Baton Rouge area. This position is ideal for candidates with strong machining experience who want stable work, overtime, and long-term career growth in a heavy industrial environment. Dependable machinists with experience operating CNC equipment, Wire EDM machines, or precision machining equipment in a production or repair facility are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and/or EDM machines
- Read and interpret blueprints and machining drawings
- Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Edit machine offsets and make adjustments as needed
- Machine industrial components to tight tolerances
- Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
- Work with production and shop teams to meet deadlines
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of CNC machining or EDM experience preferred
- Experience with Wire EDM is a major plus
- Ability to read blueprints and precision measuring tools
- Experience with Fanuc, Mazatrol, or similar controls preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Industrial machine shop experience preferred
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance required
