Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Lead process optimization efforts to improve cycle times, reduce scrap, and increase productivity.
- Support production teams during machine setup, startup, and process monitoring.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Production on product and process development.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
- Create and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and work instructions.
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians; lead pre-shift meetings.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
- Reject % and Downtime % by Work Order
- On-Time Setups/Startups
- Customer RMAs
- Experience with GMP, ISO 9001:2015, lean manufacturing, 5S, and root cause analysis.
- Strong technical expertise in plastic processing and equipment troubleshooting.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in blow molding and/or injection molding.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on equipment troubleshooting and repair.
- High School Diploma or GED required; college coursework or 2 years relevant experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with IQMS or similar MRP systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to use measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, thermometers).
- Strong work ethic and critical thinking.
- Flexible and proactive approach to challenges.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Willingness to support urgent issues outside immediate scope.
- Commitment to professional development.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, SOPs, and manuals.
- Ability to present information clearly to managers, peers, and production teams.
Salary : $80,000 - $115,000
